As of now, Dirk Steilen and his wife Dana are operating their third Coffee-Bike in the Hanseatic city of Bremen. Their success story with the mobile and self-sufficient coffee shop began in the middle of last year: "We had long had the idea of running our own espresso bar in Bremen, but despite various searches, nothing we found matched our ideas. Then we came across the Coffee-Bike GmbH franchise concept on the internet and were convinced above all by the excellent quality of the coffee," says Dirk Steilen.
Shortly afterwards, the couple purchased their first Coffee-Bike in September 2015 and used it primarily to serve private and commercial events in Bremen and the surrounding area. The couple quickly reached full capacity with their Coffee-Bike and decided to exploit the existing potential with another bike. So within three months, another Coffee-Bike was added.
"The customers are enthusiastic about our coffee and the feedback is consistently positive. One customer even once handed me a thank-you note for the great coffee," smiles Dirk Steilen. The demand for the coffee shop on three wheels never ceased and so the couple recently decided to bring a third bike to the Hanseatic city. "With our third bike, we are now in a shop in Schwachhausen. This gives us the opportunity to spread out and offer our guests a cosy place inside during the cold outside temperatures," Dana Steilen is pleased to say. The Steilen family wants to hibernate in the pub with their coffee bike and then sell again in the fresh air in front of the building in the spring.
In addition to a variety of certified organic coffee classics and specialities, the Bremeners also offer coffee cocktails, freshly squeezed orange juice and, during the winter season, plenty of mulled wine. All hot drinks are served in compostable coffee cups. In addition, both big and small customers can choose from a wide range of certified organic snacks, such as cookies and cantuccini, from a regional organic bakery.
