Coffee from A to Z is not enough for us. We have created the Coffee-Bike ABC for you. Whether it's barista, cappuccino or coffee catering - we've summarised all the facts, topics and terms relating to the Coffee-Bike and, of course, coffee in this blog post. In Part 1, we start with A for Americano and end with M for milk.
The Americano is an absolute classic among coffee specialities. It consists of two simple ingredients: a strong espresso and hot water. The perfect treat for a successful start to the day. It is said that the Americano was created after the Second World War by American soldiers in Italy who found the Italian espresso simply too strong. You can find the perfect Caferino espresso beans for your Americano in our shop.
Barista and coffee - these two things belong together like a pot and a lid. Barista is the Italian word for bartender. A good barista has a broad knowledge of coffee, coffee preparation and latte art and is a true master of the art of coffee. If you dream of becoming a barista yourself with your own mobile coffee shop, start now as a Coffee-Biker.
In addition to the Americano already mentioned, the cappuccino is also a true classic in coffee preparation. Made from strong espresso and soft milk foam, the cappuccino has been enchanting coffee lovers around the globe for decades. Incidentally, the cappuccino is based on the so-called Kapuziner, a Viennese coffee speciality. The cappuccino also provides the perfect "painting surface" for successful latte art creations.
You may have heard the term "doppio" used in connection with coffee. This is usually an espresso doppio, i.e. a double espresso. It consists of twice the amount of espresso beans and is therefore an absolute energy booster.
We come to another classic among coffee specialities - the espresso. The secret of our Caferino Espresso lies in the perfect interplay of the floral, fruity aroma of the Arabica beans (70%) and the spicy, powerful Robusta (30%). Particularly gently roasted, the result is a strong espresso with a delicate aroma of nuts and chocolate, whose fine crema is reminiscent of Italy. Small tip: You can find our Caferino espresso and coffee beans in best organic quality in our shop.
Flat White is a variant of the cappuccino in which the milk is frothed less strongly and thus remains more liquid. The Flat White therefore only has a thin layer of foam and no milk foam cap like a classic cappuccino. The name originated in Australia and New Zealand in the 1980s. You can find the perfect coffee beans for your home-made Flat White in our shop.
Green coffee may sound a little strange at first. It is actually green coffee, i.e. the unroasted bean in its original state. Due to the lack of roasting, the bean contains less caffeine. Green coffee is said to have a weight-reducing effect. You can read more about this in one of our previous blog posts. If eating unroasted coffee beans doesn't appeal to you, we can recommend our delicious Matcha Latte. It's also green and guaranteed delicious. Just ask your trusted Coffee-Bike barista about it next time.
The hand lever is the heart of every hand-lever filter carrier machine, which is also responsible for preparing fresh and delicious coffee specialities on the Coffee-Bike. The hand lever manually builds up the required pressure in the portafilter, which ensures a perfect result and unique coffee enjoyment. Convince yourself and find the nearest Coffee-Bike in your area in our Coffee-Bike App (Android & iOs).
Did you know that coffee has more than 1000 ingredients and some of them are still not researched? The most important ones are: Carbohydrates, fats, water, proteins, acids, alkaloids (caffeine), minerals and flavourings. So you can well imagine that, given the number of ingredients, no two coffees taste the same. Depending on the country of origin of the bean, the processing and preparation of the coffee, there is an enormous variance in taste and texture.
Java coffee, or as most of us know it, "Arabica", is one of the best-known coffee varieties in the world, along with Robusta. The plant species originated more than 10,000 years ago and is today the most economically important coffee variety. The Arabica bean has a slightly sweet taste with fruity and floral notes. Our Caferino coffee consists of 100% high-quality Arabica and the Caferino Espresso also contains 70% of the beans. You can find both varieties in our shop.

What would a cappuccino or a latte macchiato be without this ingredient? We are talking about milk, of course. Foamy and perfect for latte art - that's how we love our coffee specialities! At the Coffee-Bike, you can choose between cow's milk and milk alternatives such as soy or oat milk.
