A success story made in Osnabrück. 2020 is a special year for Coffee-Bike GmbH, because exactly 10 years ago the idea of the mobile coffee bar was born, which has gradually grown into a globally operating franchise company. It all started with a holiday the two founders took together during their studies. In a park in Denmark, they discovered a man on the move with a pump jug on the carrier of his bicycle, serving filter coffee to park visitors. That was the starting signal for the company foundation and the idea for the Coffee-Bike was born. Right from the start, it was clear that a functioning concept was based on high product quality and a strong brand. With this in mind, the team got straight to work, investing a lot of time and energy in the technical implementation of the ideas and carrying out their own test runs themselves. After about a year, the first Coffee-Bike was ready for use and was able to complete its first test runs in Hanover in January 2011.
From start-up to successful franchise system
In the meantime, 10 years have passed and not only the Coffee-Bike has been further optimised both technically and visually. In recent years, Coffee-Bike GmbH has become one of the fastest growing franchise companies in Europe. Today, around 250 bikes supply customers worldwide with the best organic coffee specialities. In addition, more than 40 employees at the Osnabrück system headquarters work daily on the continuous further development of the brand, provide support for our franchise partners and constantly develop new ideas on which technical innovations make the Coffee-Bike even more unique. We look back on eventful years and can proudly say that we have managed to establish a concept in the lucrative but also highly competitive coffee segment that is now actively lived by more than 200 franchise partners worldwide. For the future, we hope that our Coffee-Bike family will grow even larger and that we will be able to delight our customers with high-quality coffee specialities in all corners of the world.
