In its anniversary year, the networking event will take place for the first time at the Windel Group's premises – more personal, closer and more future-oriented than ever before.

For the first time in its 15-year history, Coffee-Bike GmbH welcomed around 50 franchise partners to its headquarters on 25 February 2026. It was a symbolic invitation, as the event had previously only been held externally. Participants from all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland flocked to the port of Osnabrück for the twelfth edition of the networking event, which focuses on personal exchange, entrepreneurial training and the joint start of the season for mobile baristas.

The agenda included practical workshops, including ‘Basics of Acquisition’ and ‘The Latte Art 1x1,’ a specialist dialogue on sustainability, and the presentation of the Franchise Partner Awards for outstanding achievements in 2025. To kick things off, Managing Director Mark Rüter highlighted the beginnings and important milestones of the Coffee-Bike success story with a memorable ‘Now & Then’ presentation. Numerous discussion rounds and the joint conclusion at the Rampendahl brewery offered participants additional opportunities to share experiences, learn from each other and strengthen the community.

15 years of Coffee-Bike: From start-up to international system

The franchise partners were warmly welcomed by employees in the foyer of the Coffee-Bike headquarters. To mark the anniversary, all franchise partners received a small gift in the form of a portafilter key ring – a thank you for their commitment and loyalty to the growing system. Mark Rüter, Managing Director of Coffee-Bike GmbH, then opened the day with an exciting keynote speech entitled ‘Now & Then – 15 Years of Coffee-Bike’. In it, he looked back on the company's beginnings and focused on key development steps, such as the professionalisation of the Coffee-Bike Academy, the establishment of the brand, the introduction of a comprehensive repair and service offering, and the company's development from a former start-up to an important part of the internationally active Windel Group.

‘The success of the past 15 years would not have been possible without the commitment and trust of our franchise partners,’ emphasised Mark Rüter. ‘We have continuously developed as a system – in our structures, as a brand and in our service. I am therefore all the more delighted that we are able to hold the Franchise Partner Day in this special anniversary year – and for the first time in our own premises. This makes this meeting even more personal for all of us.’

Dialogue on equal terms: mood barometer and networking rounds

One example of the close cooperation between the system headquarters and the operational business was the network barometer, where franchise partners could contribute ideas and suggestions on various topics live. Among other things, the recipe for the popular Pumpkin Spice Latte was voted on.
This was followed by two networking rounds, which provided space for both professional exchange and practical development. The discussion rounds on acquisition and for multi-entrepreneurs focused on the mutual exchange of experiences and learning from each other. The workshops on latte art and technology were more practice-oriented and enabled participants to work directly with the expertise of Coffee-Bike GmbH employees, try out new skills and explore questions from everyday operations in greater depth.

Strong together: honours and sustainability as a topic for the future

After a joint coffee break, the Franchise Partner Awards were presented and those who had achieved outstanding results over the past year were honoured. First place for the ‘most successful newcomer’ went to a franchise partner from Essen who runs a lucrative location in a zoo. The prize for the most coffee specialities sold was won by a Coffee Biker from Frankfurt. A business duo from Erfurt was honoured as the ‘most successful multi-entrepreneurs’. The Social Media Award for a compelling presence on social networks went to a newcomer from Lüneburg.

During the subsequent expert dialogue on sustainability, Coffee-Bike representatives and experts from headquarters discussed practical approaches to implementing general environmental responsibility at the mobile coffee bar in a way that is also economically valuable in the future.

Finishing off at Rampendahl – the start of a new tradition

After an eventful day characterised by intensive expert input, open exchange formats and many personal encounters, the Coffee Bike family ended the evening together at the Rampendahl brewery in Osnabrück's old town. With good food, relaxed conversations and a casual atmosphere, the voluntary dinner provided another opportunity to review the diverse impressions of the day – from looking back on 15 years of Coffee-Bike to the practical workshops and lively discussions about future prospects.

‘For me, today was a real highlight of the anniversary year,’ said Mark Rüter. ‘It was impressive to see how much energy, expertise and mutual appreciation there is in our community. This joint dinner shows how strong we are as a system – and I would be delighted if this relaxed finale became a firm tradition of Franchise Partner Day.’
The evening not only rounded off the event, but also once again underlined the special spirit that has characterised this Osnabrück success story for 15 years: cooperation, transparency and a community that goes far beyond the operational business.
