What is green coffee?

Simply said, green coffee is raw coffee, i.e. the unroasted bean in its original state. As a result, the bean contains less caffeine than when roasted, but at the same time more chlorogenic acid. Green coffee is not available everywhere as a whole bean. Instead, it is often offered in the form of capsules or powders. With this form of presentation, however, it is worth taking a close look at the ingredients. The acid is said to reduce the absorption of sugar in the intestine and influence the blood sugar level. Some claim that consumption also reduces the risk of diabetes. However, these effects are controversial and have not yet been sufficiently scientifically proven.
