January is almost over and we still owe you a topic that you may have been eagerly waiting for. It's time for the coffee trends of 2023. As in previous years, we would like to inform you about the latest trends and innovations in the coffee sector. Let's reveal this much - we're mixing it up as much as we can.
Coffee beer, Coffbucha and Bubble coffee
There are no limits to the imagination when it comes to the latest coffee trends, and things that do not seem to belong together are coming together:
Next to coffee, beer is one of the favourite drinks par excellence. So why not combine the two? The best way to do this is to use a strong espresso (e.g. made from our aromatic Caferino espresso beans) and mix it with a particularly dark beer. The coffee beer is born. The taste is convincing with a strong malty, almost chocolaty note.
Coffee meets Kombucha. Kombucha is a healthy variant of lemonade. It consists of green or black tea, which is fermented together with the so-called kombucha fungus. Kombucha is said to have a positive effect on intestinal activity. Together with the invigorating effect of coffee, the two components complement each other perfectly for a healthy and delicious start to the day. For preparation, we recommend our Caferino coffee beans in organic quality.
A healthy alternative at our participating coffee bikes is our Pink Superfood Latte. It impresses with a combination of beetroot, goji berries and acai. Due to the amount of vitamin C, iron and folic acid it contains, the pink drink is a real powerhouse and a super booster for the immune system.
The bubble tea can step aside. Now comes bubble coffee, also known as boba coffee. This trendy 2023 drink mixes your favourite coffee with the typical tapioca balls that we already know from the tea variety. The trick is that the bubbles can be mixed with all the usual hot and cold coffee specialities and thus ensure variety in the favourite drink.
Last but not least, here is our hottest candidate for the trend drink of 2023 - the coffee smoothie! The coffee smoothie is the answer for all those who don't like breakfast. Here comes a simple recipe to try:
- 1 medium-sized banana (frozen).
- 500 ml plant or cow's milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 15 ml strong espresso (find the best beans here)
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
With this energy boost in the morning, nothing stands in the way of a successful start to the day. Oh, by the way, if you like banana or other fruity coffee variants, you should definitely follow our Blog. We'll have something for you soon. In general, we offer many coffee specials on our Coffee-Bikes that serve a similar range of flavours as the creative varieties of bubble coffee.
