The Osnabrück-based company meets the ravages of time with the Online Fireside Evening 2022 as an alternative to the annual Franchise Partner Day.

Once a year, the Coffee-Bike franchise partners come together for the Franchise Partner Day in Osnabrück to take stock of the previous year, discuss challenges and celebrate successes together. This year, the event could not take place in Präsenz due to the Corona pandemic. But the Osnabrück-based company has already learned from this time and used the opportunities of digitalisation with an online event. The new format - the Coffee-Bike Fireside Evening 2022 - focused on 90-minute impulse lectures, expert interviews and success stories as well as a monthly business impulse with useful business tips and the presentation of the Coffee-Bike Awards 2021.

Warm Welcome and New Franchise Partners

On Tuesday, 1 March at 6 p.m., Mark Rüter, Managing Director of Coffee-Bike GmbH, welcomed the participants to the first Coffee-Bike fireside evening. Together, the gift boxes that had been sent in advance were opened in front of the screens at home. The included bottle of red wine, an exclusive Coffee-Bike wine glass and delicious gifts created the right atmosphere for the networking event.

Afterwards, Carolin Hübner, Head of Business Development, gave an overview of the evening's programme before the business consultants Tobias Halstenberg and Markus Fischgrabe began with the introduction of the new franchise partners and the future new starters. The team was delighted to welcome around 50 event participants, who together welcomed the new members of the #coffeebikefamily. The honour for the best newcomer went to Düsseldorf this year.

Success story and impulse lecture

One of the greatest added values of franchising is that coffee bikers can exchange ideas and learn from each other. As a best practice, new partners reported on their start into self-employment and thus also inspired long-time coffee bikers. For self-employed entrepreneurs, however, it is not only advisable to promote exchange with colleagues from the same sector, but also to benefit from the experience of experts from outside the system. This is why Dr. Uwe Schürmann, Managing Director of the Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft Darmstadt, was interviewed, who has been able to gather well-founded experience and celebrate success in over 30 years. The coffee bikers took away from this impulse lecture that success can be planned and that it can also be achieved with the right mindset, a clear focus and realistic goals.

Many Coffee-Bikers are now successful multi-bikers. This is also the case with the dream team from Erfurt, which was awarded the title of Multi-Biker of the Year 2021. In the category of the most espresso shots, a coffee biker from Kaiserslautern in the Palatinate was able to prove herself. In addition to quantity, the award categories also include values such as social commitment. In this sense, the award for special commitment to the system went for the first time to Austria, where a coffee biker convinced prospective franchisees of the franchise partnership with an "internship" on his own bike.

Coffee-Bike Insights and Business Impulse

To ensure that the partners are also informed about the issues at the Osnabrück headquarters, Carla Verlage, Head of Marketing, presented projects of the Marketing Strategy 2022, which include the development of the new website. The Social Media Award went to a newcomer from Leipzig. Despite the current situation, there was also good news from the catering sector. Linda Brinker, Event Manager, named several major customers who had booked coffee-bike catering and predicted a promising catering season for the coffee-bikers in the coming spring and summer months. With the business impulse for the month of March on the topic of proactive acquisition, the development team gave the franchise partners even more important tips along the way.

"The fireside evening was a good alternative to the Franchise Partner Day with a focus on exchange, knowledge transfer and entertainment. Of course, we still hope that the Franchise Partner Day can take place again next year and that we can welcome our partners back to Osnabrück," Mark Rüter summed up optimistically.
