A visit from Coffee-Bike headquarters – Julia and Jesco from Coffee-Bike Hannover show Carolin and Tobias from the Business Development Team their location in Wolfsburg
Coffee-Bike Amazing Places #10: Designer Outlet Wolfsburg
25.03.2022 | Self-employment
Three years ago, Julia and Jesco Scharnhorst decided to start their own business with Coffee-Bike. Since they had already discovered the catering industry for themselves, the quality and sustainability concept of Coffee-Bike complemented their idea of a successful coffee business exactly. The flexible use of the mobile coffee bar was also a decisive factor in becoming a Coffee-Bike franchise partner. With their team of five, they are now on the road with two bikes.
Whether at weddings, street food festivals or concerts – with good humour and special coffee catering, they offer their customers a highlight at their event. While one bike is used for catering orders and at events, the second bike has found its place at a permanent location in the Designer Outlet Wolfsburg.
A nationally known location
After a shopping tour through the Designer Outlet Wolfsburg, which features reduced brand-name articles from around 90 manufacturers, delicious coffee specialities from the Coffee-Bike Hannover await visitors. For almost two years, Julia and Jesco have been providing shoppers with genuine moments of pleasure and are delighted with their positive feedback. “A good coffee during a break or at the end of a long day is always appreciated,” Jesco reports.
At first, the Coffee-Bike was booked for individual catering assignments in the popular shopping centre, such as for Open Sundays or late night shopping events. This developed into a permanent sales location where the Coffee-Bikers now offer drinks ranging from cappuccino to chai latte to seasonal specials from Monday to Saturday between 10 am and 7 pm. Since the converted cargo bike only needs a space of 4 square metres and can be operated self-sufficiently, the Coffee-Bike is perfectly suited as a mobile coffee bar for the Designer Outlet. The outlet is known nationwide and is therefore very busy, so the baristas meet many different people every day. What is also special about the location is the cheerful atmosphere that the experience brings. “Visitors take time to shop and to enjoy their coffee,” Julia interjects.
Passion as a recipe for success
Julia and Jesco love what they do. They can identify with the values of Coffee-Bike and, as professional baristas, enjoy preparing coffee specialities from Caferino beans. The team is like a family where everyone can rely on each other. When the Coffee-Biker greets the customer with a smile, conjures up a cappuccino with latte art with dedication and simply has fun at work, this also has a positive effect on the customers.
We wish Julia and Jesco continued success with their two bikes and thank them for introducing us to one of their locations. On Instagram, the two also give insights into their life as Coffee-Bikers.
