Between band performances and barista craft - Mathias Jettschat has been a Coffee-Bike franchise partner since November 2021 and spoils his customers in the Saxon city of Leipzig with delicious coffee specialities. In addition to his Coffee-Bike business, he continues to work as an event manager, presenter and musician. He lives out his passion for music in his band, while as a passionate barista he conjures up cappuccino with latte art at the mobile coffee bar.

"The bikes are not only convincing technically, but are also an eye-catcher visually at every event. Coffee-Bike is a strong brand and as an entrepreneur I can benefit from the experience gained from the franchise system." That's why Mathias also decided to buy a second bike directly one year later and can thus react flexibly to catering requests.

As an event manager, he sees great advantages in the mobility and self-sufficient operation of the mobile coffee bar for catering at events. Together with his team, he now also offers his coffee specialities at two fixed sales locations.

Coffee to go in the Petersbogen shopping centre

If you're looking for a shopping experience and good coffee in Leipzig's city centre, you'll find it at Petersbogen. The shopping arcade not only houses many different shops, but also a large cinema. Coffee-Bike headquarters acquired this retail location and brokered it to the new starter in 2021. "Especially at the weekend, Petersbogen is very busy. Since we are the only provider of coffee to go in the immediate vicinity, visitors like to take a little break at the bike to enjoy a hot or cold drink," Mathias tells us. Feel free to check out Leipzig's daily Coffee-Bike life on his Facebook page Coffee-Bike Jettschat Leipzig and Instagram channel coffee_bike_leipzig.

Mathias regularly keeps an eye out for suitable locations, contacts the direct contacts and tries to convince them with the Coffee-Bike concept. This approach has paid off, because since the beginning of the year, travellers can enjoy a coffee speciality from the Coffee-Bike in Europe's largest terminus station. "The Coffee-Bike blends in wonderfully with the architecture of Leipzig's main station," Mathias reports. Even though there are over 30 other options to get a coffee before the train departs, many customers consciously opt for a coffee to go from the mobile coffee bar. "The organic certified Caferino beans and the high quality products, as well as the eye-catching retro style of the bike, make enjoying coffee in the rather hectic environment a special moment." In the short time Mathias and his team, which consists of eight employees, have already gained some commuters as regular customers.

For the future, Mathias plans to continue looking for interesting permanent pitches and to inspire his customers with many #coffeebikemoments at various events.

"Coffee always works," Mathias explains. If you also have a passion for coffee and would like to start your own business with a Coffee-Bike, find out more about becoming a franchise partner here.
