13. July 2018
We are proud to say that Coffee-Bike International Limited, as of the 19th of June 2018, achieved Associate Membership of the British Franchise Association (bfa). ” We are looking forward to being a part of the governing body to Franchising within the UK. I am sure both parties will gain value out of this association”, said Andrew Pitt (MD Coffee-Bike International Ltd.) after meeting Pip Wilkins (CEO for the bfa).
About the British Franchise Association
The bfa is the voice of ethical franchising in the UK. Their role is to represent members and help promote them within the industry and beyond. As well as providing information and advice to businesses planning to franchise – or people considering joining a franchise – they also work closely with the members to help develop their expertise in the industry. More recently the bfa have engaged with franchisees by:
- Developing awareness campaigns to consumers
- Launched industry recognized qualifications
- Developed nationally recognized educational franchise seminars
- Launched the first UK Franchise Trust, whose trustees help to educate individuals and develop the necessary skills and capabilities
How Coffee-Bike became bfa Associate
The bfa was formed in 1977 to act in the interests of the industry to access and accredit franchising companies against a strict criteria in relation to the structure of the franchise business, the terms of the contract between franchisor and franchisee, testing of the business system – and, therefore, its success as a franchise. To become a member of the bfa, Coffee-Bike International Ltd. went through this process along with a review of its accounts as well as a survey of the franchisees.
